Ne placez pas votre sac a dos sur la pupitre!
Who saw Andy Murray's fine performance last night, then? He recovered from the brink of defeat to give us a five-set cliffhanger that really shredded my nerves to watch. It seemed clear that he had more stamina than Gasquet, and took advantage of him flagging in later sets. Gasquet tried to get play stopped as the light was fading - I think if the game had carried on into today, a refreshed Gasquet would have finished Murray off. As it was, it was practically dark by the time play finished last night...Gasquet had a point, but I don't think he'd have made it off the court alive if he'd got play stopped.
I must confess I'm well into "Big Brother" this year, after ignoring it for a while. It's fascinating to watch, although I feel a bit dirty afterwards...it's interesting to think about what it would be like to be in the house. Personally, I'd go insane in minutes, because reading material is banned. Having rediscovered a passion for books, I don't go anywhere without at least one book on me. You're even allowed books in prison, which on that level makes prison preferable. Although this week's "Criminal Justice" makes it less appealing on just about every possible level. I can't understand why some people think prisons are cushy - I wouldn't last five minutes in one. So...given a choice between jail and Big Brother, I'd choose Big Brother. But would rather choose neither.
I was going to write a whole load of other stuff, but I'm soooo tired, so I shall retire to my bed and sleep. See you in the morning.
